I am so thrilled to design bows and headband for my 2 precious little girls.
My journey with a bone conduction hearing aid began when my oldest daughter was diagnosed with bilateral ear canal atresia at 2 months.
As a parent, you go through a grieving process of finding out that your child has hearing loss. I was determined to make it work and to have fun with the aid. I knew she had to wear it, I just didn't know how I was going to make her keep it on!
After receiving the hearing aid, I was not happy with the headband provided. I found it difficult to put on and even harder, keeping it on. It was not comfortable for her.
I tried different bands and materials. I came up with the soft headband and super CUTE bows. I received positve feedback from parents, audiologist and teachers. And thus, Me and My Bow was born.
Ofcourse she didn't want to wear at first. She kept pulling it off, but then, we turned it into a fun game. As she got older, we played in the mirror, played dress up and now, she picks which bow she wants to wear!!!!
